Almost Three Decades of Grassroots Basketball
Hotshots has been a cornerstone of primary school sport for almost three decades, introducing thousands of children to basketball through fun, energetic, and confidence-building sessions. What began as a small grassroots initiative has grown into one of the region's most established and trusted junior basketball programmes, known for its high quality coaching, inclusive approach, and unwavering commitment to helping children enjoy being active.
Over the years, Hotshots has expanded across Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Bedfordshire, and Oxfordshire, working with more than 135 primary schools and welcoming over 4,000 children each school year. With a team of passionate, highly trained coaches — many of whom were Hotshots players themselves — the programme has built a reputation for creating positive sporting experiences that stay with children for life.
From school clubs and holiday camps to tournaments and development pathways, Hotshots continues to grow, evolve, and inspire the next generation of young athletes, all while staying true to its original mission: making basketball fun, accessible, and confidence-boosting for every child.
